Funn Taipan S Flat Pedals

Shin-friendly rounded pins, smaller platform, narrower stance and the lightest pedal Funn make.

The Taipan S takes the Taipan’s glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic body and CrMo axle and scales the whole thing down: a 95 x 80mm platform with a 52mm Q factor that sets the feet closer together. That is the right geometry for teenagers, junior racers and adults with smaller feet and at 325g a pair, it is the lightest pedal Funn makes.

Each side carries four moulded pins and six replaceable alloy ones with rounded tips. On a junior bike especially, a slipped pedal should bruise a shin, not cut it. It shares its pin kit with the full-size Taipan.

Eleven colours, same as the big one.
