Shimano 105 FC-R7100 12sp Crankset

The Shimano 105 FC-R7100 is a 12-speed aluminum crankset built with hollow crank arms using Shimano’s HOLLOWGLIDE construction. This structure reduces weight while maintaining strength, supporting efficient power transfer and quick, precise front shifts across the double chainring setup found on modern 105-level road drivetrains.

Resin ribs on the back of the chainrings, part of Shimano 105’s structural design, cut weight from the chainring itself while keeping shifting crisp under load. Combined with the hollow crank arm construction, this approach balances stiffness, strength, and rotational performance for everyday road riding without added bulk.
