Wheels Manufacturing BB86/92 OB ABEC-3 BB Shimano

This is a thread-together bottom bracket for frames with a BB86 or BB92 press fit shell, set up for Shimano Hollowtech II cranks with a 24 mm spindle. The two machined aluminum cups thread into one another inside the shell, which locks the assembly as a single unit and removes the creaking that loose press fit cups can develop.

Sealed ABEC 3 steel cartridge bearings sit outboard of the 41 mm shell bores, which keeps bearing replacement quick when service comes around. It drops straight into any frame running an OEM BB86 or BB92 unit, and installation and removal call for a 16 notch bottom bracket tool such as the Park Tool BBT-29 or FSA MegaEvo.
